Well, it has happened. Our household has been attacked by the Flu.
Do not come in - Do not go out.
Not fun. Not only is my 5 month old dealing with flu symptoms, his first tooth is coming in. Needless to say - sleepless nights.
Yawn.
Today is my first lesson in the primary. I didn't get a chance to prepare until this morning. All the cold and flu kinda kept me busy. Plus, everything I have to do during the week does not leave a lot of time for me to prepare. Still not really feeling the calling to teach primary - but I suppose there is really nothing I can do about it. I just need to do it!
I really wish I had more time. I have no time for sewing. I have to sleep some time, don't I?
Maybe not.
I called the primary president this morning to let her know that my daughter wasn't going to be at Church to say the opening prayer. She did ask me if I wanted her to find a substitute for my class. As tempting as that sounded, I felt like I had to set a good example for my children. How can I tell them to do something - like take your responsibilities seriously - if I don't? I have a responsibility so I have to pull through and meet it.
I hope they recognize that, and in turn will do the same.
The most effective way of teaching is through example. As annoying as it can be.

You are wonderful! I might have just slipped on my pjs and stayed home. As a matter of fact, I wasn't feeling well today and had to call our pastor to let him know I wouldn't be making it in to do our children's sermon. I felt bad, but luckily there were only a couple (really young) children present today. It seems everyone has the flu! I hope you all get well soon!
